Is Daniel Suarez's Richmond performance a fluke, or are we witnessing the rise of a new star?

One NASCAR Cup Series team is certainly having fun. While the chaotic Richmond finish set up a grim mood for most of the NASCAR garage, Trackhouse Racing is on a cheeky streak. Both its drivers scored respectable finishes at the Cook Out 400. Ross Chastain scored 5th place, while Daniel Suarez rounded off the top ten. Now Suarez is spicing things up more within the team!

Trackhouse has a famous apparel partner, Jockey. But what makes this partnership stand out is its unique advertising campaign. Chastain lightened the mood with his funny paint scheme at Richmond. And now Suarez is here to dial up the laughter machine, even if it means stripping down to his essentials!

Jockey, a 148-year-old underwear and apparel company, hopped aboard Trackhouse Racing‘s sponsorship wagon in 2022. Ever since then, this partnership has evolved into one of the hottest that NASCAR has seen. Ross Chastain lived up to that name on National Underwear Day. The No. 1 Chevy featured a bold artwork – depicting Chastain seated directly inside the vehicle in nothing but his Jockey Infinite Cool boxer briefs. It was an attention-grabbing spectacle indeed, and one that Daniel Suarez recently emulated.

The Mexican-American driver signed his 2025 extension recently, although fans were left uneasy due to a lack of a multi-year deal. Whatever the situation, Daniel Suarez is not lacking in spirit, as he filmed a quirky ad for Jockey recently. It shows Suarez entering his office and greeting a pair of astounded employees. He is not wearing anything on top, and the bottom is mysteriously hidden from view. The ad hilariously ends with Suarez taking the wheel in nothing but blue Jockey briefs. Trackhouse captioned the ad: “Take a look at how Daniel is getting ready for Michigan.”

This is sure to turn some heads for the upcoming FireKeepers Casino 400 race. It also harks back to a joint campaign that both Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain took part in last year. They commemorated Jockey’s sponsorship renewal in a similar cheeky ad. As team owner Justin Marks sat down to explain the brand’s importance to both drivers, he encountered an awkward surprise. Both Suarez and Chastain stood up and revealed their ‘brief’ promises.

Daniel Suarez hailed Jockey’s support for the team in 2022. “I love my Jockey apparel. Every time I get a new package, it’s kind of like opening a gift on Christmas. They are big supporters of Trackhouse and the sport of racing, and I think all our fans will like their clothing as much as Ross and I do.” His continued love for the brand has also got fans rolling on the floor in laughter.

By now, Trackhouse has stamped itself as one of NASCAR’s quirkiest teams, besides the hottest. Its Jockey affiliation has contributed singlehandedly to that status. So some fans unequivocally agreed to their social media power: “trackhouse social media is PEAK (fire emoji)” Another fan chimed in: “trackhouse social media >>>>”

The funny proceedings of the short skit simply tickled some people. While Daniel Suarez proudly flaunted his Jockey assets, his co-workers and co-actors may have stared a little too long. One fan pointed this out: “They all looked at him a little bit longer than needed (skull emoji)” Another fan was especially focused on the second guy who let his cup spill over with coffee. “WHY DID THE GUY AT THE DRINK MACHINE STARE THERE FOR THAT LONG HELPP.”
