Heading into the 2024 season, Kaulig Racing is shaping up to be a fan favorite in the Xfinity Series. After Shane van Gisbergen vowed the spectators at NASCAR’s 75th Anniversary in the Trackhouse Cup Series car, his partnership with A.J. Allmendinger and Josh Williams is set to turn heads all season long. And adding to that list, the front-running Xfinity team revealed its fourth and final driver, Daniel Dye, earlier this week. Daniel Dye will compete for 10 races behind the wheel of the aptly numbered #10 Chevrolet in the 2024 season of the Xfinity Series.

Will Kaulig Racing’s big gamble pay off?

Daniel Dye previously competed in the Truck Series in 2023 and finished the season with one top-10 and 18th in the driver’s standings. While it isn’t too bad for a rookie, it’s safe to say Dye’s similarities to Hailie Deegan in terms of influence have helped back the seat with Kaulig Racing. After all, Daniel Dye comes from a stock car racing family that went on to make it big in business. But while Hailie Deegan has managed to make the most of her popularity and thereby influence, Dye is yet to make a lasting impression after a dismal Truck Series campaign.

On the other hand, team president Chris Rice was elated at the announcement of their newest driver. He shared in a statement, “We’re excited to welcome Daniel [Dye] to our driver lineup at Kaulig Racing. We’ve brought a lot of young drivers into the Xfinity Series, and we’re looking forward to seeing him grow as a driver throughout the season with our team.” With AJ Allmendinger and Shane Van Gisbergen bringing in great road course experience, Kaulig Racing will serve as the perfect opportunity for Daniel Dye to showcase his worth to the world.

Speaking of the young Truck Series driver, Daniel Dye himself stated, “I’ve been a fan and follower of Kaulig Racing for several years now, and to have the opportunity to race for Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice is really special. I’m excited to drive the No. 10 Champion Container Chevy in the Xfinity Series and lean on my teammates who have experience in all aspects of racing. I’m especially looking forward to working with AJ Allmendinger and having him on my side as I learn as much as I can from this opportunity.”

Dye will be sponsored by Champion Container, a custom box manufacturer that shared their pride in being represented by the young racer not only as an ambassador but also as a competent driver in the Xfinity Series. The company also alluded to Dye’s active involvement with the Race to Stop Suicide organization being a key factor in the pair expanding their relationship for the foreseeable future.

With Daniel Dye’s entry as Kaulig Racing’s fourth driver, their 2024 lineup for the Xfinity Series is shaping up to be quite a formidable force. But even with everything going for him, the big question remains. Can Dye beat all odds and prove Kaulig Racing has gotten more than they bargained for by signing the young Truck Series driver? While the answer to that question will only come at the end of the season, we finally got the answer to who will primarily sponsor A.J. Allmendinger just last week.

The announcement that Celsius Essential Energy would continue to support Kaulig Racing in their Xfinity Series campaign by remaining one of the primary sponsors of the #16 driven by AJ Allmendinger, starting with a doubleheader at Daytona. This extension owes itself largely to Allmendinger’s victories under the Celsius paint scheme in Xfinity at the Circuit of the Americas and in the Cup Series at the Charlotte Roval.

Allmendinger shared in a statement, “I’m excited about our continued partnership with CELSIUS. To see the growth of CELSIUS, ever since I joined the team in 2019, has been really special. CELSIUS is the go-to energy drink for my team and I, and it was definitely fun to have it as part of our victory lane celebrations last season. We’re going to have a fun season as this brand continues to grow, and I look forward to representing them on and off the track!”

The 2024 Celsius Kaulig Racing paint scheme was also revealed, and it features a white base with a dessert yellow on the fenders to pay tribute to Daytona Beach. While Kaulig Racing is yet to announce which other races Celsius will primarily sponsor A.J. Allmendinger in, if Daniel Dye performs well, he may as well be a prospect too. But do you think Dye will learn from his experienced teammates or crumble under the pressure?
