Danica Patrick has repeatedly struggled with the symptoms of her body’s negative reaction to breast implants. It’s safe to say that it has posed a bigger threat to her health than to improve her lifestyle.

And once again Patrick raised concerns about breast implants and the implications that come along with it. She further highlighted FDA and the government’s negligence toward it.

In a recent Instagram story, she reposted a post that said, “How many more terms need to be given to this illness before the FDA and other government entities realize the harm that is being done? Decades of complaints. Decades of illness. Decades of research.” And then she labeled the many terms for the illness such as Breast Implant Illness, Adjuvant Disease, Autoimmune/inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA), and many more.

The post is asking the health bodies to pay more attention to issues caused by breast implants. Unfortunately, the awareness of the disease is still relatively low, while Patrick continues to work on letting the world know about the side effects.

Danica Patrick faced severe after-effects after breast implants

In Patrick’s journey to raise awareness about the harms of getting breast implants, she transparently detailed all her struggles.

For the former driver, the first three years went well, as Medpage Today reported. But then she began experiencing inexplicable symptoms. Her hair seemed very dry, grew slower, and started to fall out. She gained weight and could not lose it, and her energy level dropped dramatically. On top of that, she also developed gastrointestinal problems as well as hormonal imbalances, including low sex hormones.

However, the MRI showed otherwise. Her other breast also hardened, so she began to think that the breast implants might have played a role in her symptoms, which she posted on YouTube and social media about her having similar symptoms. She has seen over 100 videos of women. Listening to them, she believed she was also suffering from a breast implant condition.

Patrick said she had the implants removed in April and had some within hours of her surgery. She said it was easier.
