Family is the greatest blessing that one can count on and the contribution they have in our life is often unmatched. Danica Patrick, the former female driver recently opened up about how her family has been the greatest source of support for her. Her career from the world of racing to politics has been a huge jump and without support from her family, this would have been difficult. 

The Wisconsin native has always been quite vocal about the love for her family. As she took part in the conservative movement arranged by Turning Point, USA, she could not help but reminisce about how her family has been the strongest supporter for her as she embarks on her political career. 

Patrick showcases her political affiliation 

Patrick has always been known to be someone bold and fearless. Be it on the tracks or even in her real life, her choices have been transparent. Recently, Patrick made her debut in the event as a speaker, a big move indeed. While this showcases her commitment to the field, it does come with a lot of challenges. After all, a career in the world of politics is not easy. 

However, for Patrick, her family has been her biggest source of strength. Patrick belongs to a working-class family and her parents Beverly Ann and T. J. Patrick Jr. are natives of Beloit. Not only in her journey towards becoming a political figure, but her parents had supported her even during her racing career journey. In fact, her father was her crew chief during her initial days and the family had moved to California to support Patrick in her career. 

Now that Patrick has made it to her new field of career, she could not help but thank her family for the kind of pillars they have been in her life. Posting a few photos with her family, Danica wrote, “I think one of the most important values in the conservative movement is family. Life is hard and you need people you can trust but will also hold you accountable. I love my parents, and my sister is my best friend. I am so grateful for that. She was also the one who proposed me the idea of going into this event last year…..I think we started tradition. ☺️🇺🇸 Now lets head to Indianapolis for Christmas with the fam!”. 

Patrick’s presence at the MAGA movement and active participation as a speaker have made her support towards Trump clear. Danica Patrick’s bold transition into the political arena reflects her fearless nature and strong family values. With unending support from her loved ones, she’s set to carve a unique path in this new chapter of her life.

While things might seem to be hunky dory between the family right now, that was not the case always. Patrick had shared in detail about how she did not meet with her parents for five straight years owing to an estranged marriage. It was only later that she realized that it was her ex-husband Paul Edward Hospenthal who manipulated the entire thing. Recounting the same in a conversation with Doug Bopst, Patrick had said, “I realized how important my family was to me”.

Patrick had also shared about how she was dealing with her own family issues where she wanted her parents to take up accountability and apologize to her. However, down the line, she realized the importance of having a family. Since then, Patrick has been quite vocal about the kind of bond that the family shares. Speaking of the same, she said, “So when I started loving them right where they were at and understanding their own patterns, they just started shifting on their own, like immediately. And it was really beautiful, I’m not saying my parents have to be someone different, but certain things soften up and shifted, and it was nice”.

Danica Patrick’s journey toward mending her relationship with her parents was deeply intertwined with her realizations about herself. Over time, she recognized that many of the struggles she faced in her relationships stemmed from her inbuilt insecurities. These insecurities, she admitted, shaped her patterns of behavior and expectations, leading to misunderstandings and conflict. As she embarks on her political career, she will definitely use the lessons she has learned with family and from racing.
