It’s unquestionable that the thrill, the adrenaline, and the overall fun a racecar driver gets is something that could be tough to substitute after they close that chapter of their life. Yet, many former drivers do find that replacement, something Danica Patrick recently opened up about.

The former NASCAR driver described how she has managed to find “the edge” again; although this time, it’s not as sharp as it used to be while she was racing cars.

“I don’t have much sharp edges as I used to but the podcast is a total learning experience,” she said. “When I talk to somebody like doctors, I want to keep up. I want it to be a great interview and sometimes I’m like, ‘Holy s**t, am I ready for this?'”

“Someone like a Jordan Peterson like, ‘Am I ready for this?'”

Patrick also mentioned the other things she’s done in her retirement, like going on an adventure with Bear Grylls, jumping out of helicopters, and pulling herself across canyons.
