Ahead of the NASCAR Cup race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson spent a few moments with his daughter. However, he was soon joined by former driver Danica Patrick. It is pretty clear that the two of them are good friends, considering that she embraced Larson and his daughter, Audrey.

As it turned out, Patrick was on the scene because she was commentating for the race. Needless to say, she supposedly did a pretty good job of it, as she showed that she can be a good analyst. Considering the action on the track, the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver had plenty to dissect.

Speaking about her commentary skills, Kenny Wallace said, “Great opinion and here is why. There are stories all day long about Super Bowl winning quarterbacks that cannot perform on TV”. This was in response to a tweet that read, “Danica Patrick would thrive in a two person booth. She’s a soft target because of her NASCAR career but you don’t need to be a great driver to do this. Put her with ONE strong play by play announcer that can also dish some analysis and it could work.”

How did Kyle Larson perform in the race?

All in all, Kyle Larson and Hendrick Motorsports had a great day in the office. Alex Bowman led a Hendrick 1-2 ahead of Larson, with Ross Chastain in third place. Admittedly, the defending Cup Series champion gave it his all in a battle with Bowman, but it was not enough. On the bright side, he is the new championship leader, as 2nd place was enough to leapfrog Austin Cindric.

Now, the paddock heads to the Phoenix Raceway for the next round of the 2022 season. Without a doubt, Larson will be one of the favorites, considering that he won the race last year and the title. However, he will have to be wary of competition from other drivers.
