For ages, a woman has been looked at as the epitome of softness and beauty. However, the feminine is not always soft and elegant. Ex-NASCAR driver and famous entrepreneur Danica Patrick has always strived to uphold the cause of women and this time, she sets off to unravel that unpopular element in the psyche of a woman, that the patriarchal society is not very used to.

Danica Patrick is a staunch supporter of feminism. A woman of multiple talents herself, Patrick invited veteran spiritual teacher Christina Lopes to her famous podcast, Pretty Intense, where the duo had a long conversation about the preconceived notion of what feminine should be vs. what it is.

Patrick resonated with the teachings of Lopes about a ‘masculine dominant world’

A woman can be both a beauty and a beast. But since times immemorial, the patriarchy has viewed women as one who needs to be protected, sustained, and provided for. But in today’s world, a woman is, in no way, any less a protector than a man is. There are multiple facets to the feminine is what renowned life coach Christina Lopes admitted.

Danica Patrick posted a short clip of her podcast on her Instagram story, where Lopes drew the example of the Indian goddess Kali. Kali, the destroyer of all evil and yet, the loving mother of all beings, is what Lopes views as the perfect representation of what a woman actually is. In one hand, she bears a sword and in the other; she holds the decapitated head of a demon. Meaning, she explains the demons in one’s life; the ego, the greed, and fundamentally every vice that’s not meant to be there.

Lopes said, “Feminine energy is not always sweet and soft. That’s what’s been taught in a very patriarchal masculine dominant world… That feminine has been more accepted in our collective for a really long time but she is not the only one”

“There are so many facets to the feminine…We can always go into the animal kingdom. If a lioness has her cub, you’re not going to play games with her. Try and touch her cub and see what she does to you. That’s a feminine energy,” she added as Danica Patrick nodded.

Danica Patrick has always been at the top of the headlines for various reasons, from being an alien lover to going out on adventures with her dogs. Earlier this year, she became the center of discussion when she spilled a controversial comment about female inclusiveness in Formula 1. Interestingly, it sounds contradictory to what Lopes said.

The Indy Japan 300 winner Danica Patrick is now a Sky Sports F1 commentator. But she has been getting quite some hatred for her eye-opening comments. As reported by F1 news, when someone asked Patrick what she thought about female drivers ushering into the arena of F1, Patrick said, “I think that the nature of the sport is masculine. It’s aggressive. You have to handle the car—not only just the car because that’s skill, but the mindset that it takes to be really good is something that’s not normal in a feminine mind, a female mind.”

Moreover, Danica Patrick invited someone in her podcast who denied the need to fight against rapid climate change. F1 is a sport that is continuously striving to become carbon neutral by 2030. For a community that dotes on drivers Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, who advocate the need to fight climate change, it did sound egregious.

Since then, she has been under fire. Needless to say, the F1 fans have not been taking her lightly. Many have been asking Sky Sports to remove her from her current role as a commentator.
