The 2024 CARS Tour season has been a torrid one for Landon Huffman and his race team. Starting the season with Nelson Motorsports, Huffman struggled to find speed, but he bounced back at South Boston Speedway, where he finished third. However, a post-race inspection resulted in the team’s disqualification, putting them back to square one in terms of results.

Huffman collected himself and helped Nelson Motorsports register their first win since 2021 at Tri-County Motor Speedway. The team also bagged $30,000 along with the bragging rights, but that wasn’t enough for Landon Huffman to retain his seat. In a shocking announcement, Nelson Motorsports decided to cut ties with the driver mid-season.

Well, Huffman joined forces with Jimmy Mooring Racing, which was supposed to be a full CARS Tour campaign. This partnership was funded by JMR, but Huffman and his team prepared and maintained the cars. As a result, this partnership ended after just six races. In order to conclude the season, Huffman joined Carroll Speedshop on a part-time basis, and this is how his 2024 season came to an end.

Now, given his tumultuous 2024 outing, his fans were worried about his next move going into 2024. To make matters worse, he even put out a clickbait title on X where he shared a graphic of his race shop stating, “Goodbye.” This was indeed a concern for his fans, but as it turns out, Huffman had more positive news to share about his 2025 preparations.

“I wanted to clickbait you guys a little bit, but Huffman Racing is going to function, but I did take a new full-time ride at Carroll Speedshop in the 57. We’re also going to be running the Triple Crown, so I’ve got at least 18 races for Carroll, and I’m running a partial schedule in my own cars in High Rock 75 that’s unannounced, but High Rock is back. And we’re running for the Tri-County Speedway championship, which will only be eight weeks.” Huffman said on his YouTube channel.

However, the fans didn’t have a clue about his plans and assumed the worst-case scenario, thanks to his social media post. This in turn led to a ton of comments and replies by the fans, and they were glad to see Huffman moving on to better things for 2025.

Fans react to Landon Huffman’s upgrades for the new season

As mentioned in the vlog, Huffman has managed to sell off his current fleet of race cars, which includes his first-ever ride. Well, he is building a new Hammer racing machine for the next year, and this was the reason why he had to offload his equipment. As it turns out, a few of the race fans were interested in buying the race cars and the parts for themselves, but they were a tad bit late. “Well damn I was going to buy!”

Not just a new car, he has plans to build the new Reynolds Racing chassis for his new race car. Well, after selling off his collection, Huffman also invested in buying a new towing vehicle. He spent $10,000 on a 1997 International tow vehicle. It’s fair to say Huffman is making every penny count with new investments, and like the previous commenter, this fan also missed out on getting a good deal. “I need a chassis. I have terrible ideas to do.🤣🤣”

Huffman has some unfinished business with the Virginia Triple Crown races. In 2023, he came oh so close to taking home the Grandfather clock at Martinsville Speedway. He finished second in the ValleyStar 300 event, and this result stings to this day. “I feel I should have probably won in 2023; finishing one spot better is the goal this time around,” he said while running the race with Carroll Speedshop in 2024. With new equipment and parts, he will be aiming to get the win at Martinsville and many more throughout the 2025 season. And this is exactly what a fan was hoping for while sharing a request to drop regular vlogs by Huffman on his channel. “Great news indeed! Look like 2025 is going to be a rocking year for you! Looking forward to more and new videos!”

Meanwhile, there were a few fans who didn’t watch the whole video on YouTube and were concerned that Huffman was calling it quits. His 2024 season was indeed nothing less than a roller coaster ride, which is why this particular fan got caught in Huffman’s clickbait trap. “Say it ain’t so say you’re not selling everything and giving up.”

Huffman usually is active on his YouTube channel and produces regular content to document his racing season. He has a good following of 31 thousand subscribers, but due to the topsy-turvy 2024 season, the driver was busy making changes on his end. And now that his plan is set in motion, his fans are hoping for a strong comeback in 2025. “Loved this video man. Big congrats on all the upgrades and new opportunities you have with racing, your shop. No doubt 2025 is going to be a huge success for you.”
