Widely known as the “Pied Piper” of Daytona, Dale Earnhardt Jr is a stalwart in NASCAR. Winning the Busch Grand National Series points championship for the first time at the age of 24, his first Winston Cup in 2000, the memorable Daytona 500 in 2001, and being voted as the most popular NASCAR driver in 15 consecutive seasons, the list of this man’s achievements goes on and on. For the fans, he is the face of NASCAR.

The NASCAR Hall of Famer has won several trophies throughout the 15 glorious years of his career behind the wheel. Amidst this array of achievements, a few of them are very special to him.

Dale Jr has an entire array of trophies lined up

In a recent episode of The Dale Jr Download, a fan asked where he keeps his trophies and the ones that are worthy of a display. The 48-year-old started counting his trophies and said that there are some at the Bojangles studio, and quite many at the JR Motorsports headquarters located in the heart of Mooresville.

“All of my most popular driver awards are in this building on different pedestals around and I have a shop on my property that’s full of trophies… Ralph Earnhardt’s trophies are there as well…”

However, Junior sounded especially fond of the trophies that he kept in his house. He added, “The clock from Martinsville, the trophy from Bristol from 2004, both of my Xfinity series championship trophies, both of my Daytona 500 trophies, Chicago win is there, Michigan win is there, Atlanta win is there…” he said.

The number of trophies that he has kept in his house accounts for about a third of his Cup Series wins. One would gape in awe while listening to the impressive collection of the former #88 Chevrolet Camaro driver. Pure adoration resonated from the voice of co-host Mike Davis as he listened to this never-ending list and exclaimed, “That’s a good lineup.

In an episode of The Dale Jr Download, Earnhardt’s crew chief at Hendrick Motorsports from 2011 to 2014 brought out a neat looking, white box with the words “NASCAR 75th Anniversary” written on it, and said,

“I have something for you man, just sit there and smile for a minute, alright?”

The host of the podcast wore a confused smile on his face as he wondered what it could be, and so did the fans.

“You are gonna join your grandfather Ralph, your father Dale, as one of the greatest 75 drivers in the first 75 years of NASCAR. ” announced Steve Letarte.

He admitted that the name, that is, Dale Earnhardt Jr has had a major impact on the sport, on the track, off the track, as a team owner, and as the most popular driver. However, for him, this award specifically recognized the accomplishments of the latter behind the wheel.

The NASCAR icon then pulled a cool-looking silver-colored model car out of the box and placed it among the other cars that are on display in his show, with a big smile on his face.
