Fans are one of NASCAR’s foundations. However, even the sport’s biggest asset can fumble while trying to dissect insider jokes. Among all the NASCAR podcasts, the ‘Door, Bumper, Clear’ show is probably the most unfiltered. The old hosts included veteran spotters Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors, Freddie Kraft, and industry specialist Casey Boat. Although the new 2025 group shed some of these members, an insider called out their etiquette.
Ranging from profanity punctuating every sentence to unfiltered opinions that may alienate allies in the garage, the DBC guys are not afraid of being completely honest. However, the first show of the 2025 season attracted criticism – but there was a twist. Dale Jr. got the meaning, although some fans did not.

What is NASCAR without a bit of humor? That is exactly the mindset that journalist Jeff Gluck opposed (read: heavily supported) in his recent Twitter post. The NASCAR insider is popularly known for conducting his Twitter polls after every race. Then Gluck also hosts ‘The Teardown’ show along with his colleague, Jordan Bianchi. What Gluck is known for is his calm demeanor and usually polite choice of words. So a few fans did not find it surprising that Gluck bashed the recent ‘Door, Bumper, Clear’ episode for its uncensored use of language and blunt opinions. But Dale Jr caught the catch.
Jeff Gluck headed over to Twitter to pen down a heavy complaint, addressing Dirty Mo Media. Many fans espoused what he said, but they failed to notice a peculiarity – Gluck’s post had a sprinkling of swear words too. He wrote, “I’d like to file a complaint with @DirtyMoMedia. Door Bumper Clear is now uncensored and there’s a lot of offensive potty language during the episode. Swearing is bulls–t.” What took this situation to another level was Dirty Mo Media owner Dale Jr.’s response. He called out the clueless fans who could not catch Gluck’s sarcasm. “There’s a couple here that didn’t get your joke or they have a very very very very dry sense of humor. 😂”

Dale Earnhardt Jr let the cat out of the bag, to the fans’ utter dismay. However, this Twitter episode of roasting the NASCAR fanbase did not stop there. Jeff Gluck left another comment, tagging @nascarcasm user David Vrabel, who posts sarcastic content every day. He wrote, “Idk how @nascarcasm deals with it every day.” The iconic Twitter user tipped his hat to the journalist: “I personally thought this was brilliantly played, Jeff.”
Now, let us delve into the fan comments that were roasted by Dale Jr. and his cronies.

The ‘Door, Bumper, Clear’ show now hosts a different group. Brett Griffin and T.J. Majors are off the hook, while Freddie Kraft is back. Joining him are NASCAR Whelen Series team owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. and new presenter Karsyn Elledge. Despite the new group, the show did not abandon its unfiltered themes, though. So the usual DBC detractors fell into the trap that Jeff Gluck set for them, bashing the new episode. One fan gave a shoutout to Gluck for speaking his mind and keeping a clean show: “Yep I stopped listening to DBC as of today! It was too much. Thank you @jeff_gluck for keeping your podcast decent.” Somebody else chimed in with equal fervor: “Yeah what the f–k is up with that?” They missed the profanity that Gluck himself used in the post.
Somebody else roped Dale Earnhardt Jr into the conversation. After all, Dirty Mo Media is the 26-time Cup Series race winner’s creation, and Door, Bumper, Clear is a part of it. So the fan expressed their disbelief that Dale Jr approved of the script which went live on the show recently. “I agree can’t believe @DaleJr agreed to it.” Then Dale Jr.’s response must have stung them.
Others were concerned about the audience reach of Door, Bumper, Clear. NASCAR’s fanbase has a wide age range – everyone from children to senior citizens attend races. So somebody was concerned that a few younger NASCAR fans may not get a good influence. “Yeah, there might be kids listening.” This sentiment was stronger in another fan’s comment. They vehemently agreed with Gluck’s tweet besides entirely missing its sarcastic undertone. “I’m right there with you. There’s no room in this world for that f–kin language.”
