The Earnhardt family has been no alien to the success of NASCAR. With Dale Earnhardt setting the right example with his seven NASCAR Cup Series title wins, there is very little he could not have achieved. Following in their father’s footsteps, almost all children of the Earnhardt family have been a part of the amazing sport except for one.
Earnhardt’s youngest child, Taylor Nicole Earnhardt, has enjoyed a great time outside of NASCAR in her career. While she has done that, she has maintained the pride and winning tradition intact for the popular family.

It is no secret that Dale Earnhardt set the perfect benchmark for his successors both on and off the track. While Dale Earnhardt Jr took inspiration and performed to the best of his abilities, the seven-time Cup Series title winner instilled a winning mentality among all his children.
Dale Earnhardt’s first son, Kerry Earnhardt, tried his hand in NASCAR, but he couldn’t find much success and adopted a consulting role. At the same time, elder daughter Kelley Earnhardt Miller has enjoyed being the co-owner of JR Motorsports.
However, things have been different with Taylor Nicole Earnhardt. From a very young age, Dale Earnhardt’s youngest daughter spent a lot of her time around the family stables. While she learned to ride horses then, it slowly became her passion as she turned into a highly skilled rodeo competitor.

In her barrel-racing career, Taylor has been quite impressive, to say the least. She won top honors as Champion of the Junior Southern Radio Association just after being named Champion of the North Carolina National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) in 2003.
In 2008, Taylor won the All-Around Champion title at the famous Josey Ranch. Two years later, she was named the NBHA South Carolina District Champion. She only got more recognition when she won the All-Around Cowgirl title at the SRA Southern Fields Rodeo in Asheville in 2015.
As Taylor likes to say, “My whole family likes going fast. Everybody else runs on 800 horsepower. I run on one.”

It was a dark moment in NASCAR when Dale Earnhardt unexpectedly and unfortunately lost his life in 2001. Safe to say, the motorsports world was taken aback then, as there was barely anything that could have been done. That Daytona 500 race changed the lives of many, one of which included Earnhardt’s youngest daughter, Taylor Earnhardt.
Speaking in an interview about her father’s death to NASCAR.com, Taylor explained how rodeo riding played a key role then. She said, “It really just gave me something to focus on after Dad died, something to keep me going and not focus on everything that was happening. And it turned into something that’s an honest career path for me.”

Taylor added, “It gave me another outlet to go fast and sometimes take out my aggressions. I can get mad at the calf sometimes, or the horse, or whatever. I can do that, and run that much harder, and do that much better. It’s a passion of mine now.”
