In the Lone Star State, under the Texan sun, the ace of Dale Earnhardt Jr. has soared to the summit, claiming pole position in a qualifying showdown that left other contenders in the dust. With a 29.188-second lap at a blistering 185.008 mph, he rocketed past the competition, making him the lone ranger to breach the 185 mph threshold. But hold on to your ten-gallon hats. There’s more to this high-speed tale!
In a recent post-Xfinity race interview, Justin Allgaier expressed his frustration with fellow driver Parker Kligerman’s aggressive move during the race at Texas. Speaking to FrontStretch, Allgaier discussed the near-incident and its implications on his championship run.

For Justin Allgaier, this isn’t just any old pole position; it’s a perfect ten in his career. It is the fourth this season but the first-ever at Texas. He’s like a seasoned gunslinger, drawing his No. 7 Reese’s Chevrolet Camaro with precision and finesse, clocking that remarkable time. When asked about the racing incident involving Kligerman, Allgaier pointed out that Kligerman had a significant tire advantage at that point in the race.
“You know, at that point, obviously had a huge tire advantage over us. And that was my biggest frustration is he drove it in there way deeper than he should have known that it was going to get free. I left him a room. I felt like if I watched the replay back, there’s at least a car with him between the two of us getting down in the three. And I just felt like I knew.” driver #7 of Dale Earnhardt Jr. stated.
Allgaier added, ” As soon as I lifted, I knew he was going to run in the left for years. At that point, I couldn’t afford to get wrecked, right? We need to return this car out and run it again soon. So once I got out of the groove, then it was just hang on to it. And I think he felt like he needed to take the chance when he had it.”
Allgaier shared his disappointment and mentioned that this wasn’t the first time he had encountered such troubles towards the end of a race. He also noted that it seemed like the number seven car driven by him often found itself in challenging situations on the outside line during critical race moments.
But what was his rival’s reaction to this? What did he have to say?

“I just feel kind of like a choked. I want to win here really badly. I want a damn cowboy hat. I won’t buy one without winning here. I felt like we had it today, but it wasn’t met to be. My move was the right one. I just didn’t time it correctly with the air and it allowed him to get to my right rear.” the JR Motorsports rival of Dale Earnhardt Jr. said after the race.
Kligerman added, “Just going for the win and I had a tire advantage. I caught him really fast. I felt like he wasn’t going to hold that speed and so I just was going to drive it to where I clear it to the top and move on.”
