The Earnhardt family carries quite a strong legacy in NASCAR, with both Dale Sr. and Jr. in the Hall of Fame. Of course, the name is familiar to everyone who enjoys stock car racing but did you know that Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s daughter, Isla Rose took a ride around the track before she was even born?

Dale Jr.’s wife, Amy, got to experience driving a pace car at Martinsville back in 2017. But the more eye-catching part of the interview was the fact that she drove the car while being pregnant with her daughter, Isla Rose. Although it’s perfectly safe to drive a car being pregnant, the risk comes with taking hits or driving too rashly. And it is customary for front-row drivers to give the pace car a little bump.
Martin Truex Jr., who went on to win the Cup Series Championship that year, teased a bump himself. But luckily, it wasn’t too rough.
“He threatened to, and he got pretty close a couple of times, but he didn’t,” Amy said. “He was easy on me.”
It sure seems like Amy had a great experience, as she said, “It was incredible,”, “I had no idea what it was going to be like. Everyone told me that the perspective of the (track) was going to be the best part, and they were totally right.”
But does Junior’s daughter want to race cars, too?

Does Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s daughter plan to follow in her father’s footsteps?
Isla Rose is just 4 years old right now, so it is too soon to say anything about her future. But she sure would be a great fit to add onto her family’s incredible legacy of stock car racing.

Even Isla’s mother doesn’t know how her future will turn out, “I’m not sure if she’ll be into or racing or not,” Amy Earnhardt said at the time. “We’ll just have to see, but she got to go for a ride around the racetrack with me, so that’s pretty neat.”
