Last month, NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Jr, shared his racing schedule for the 2024 season. He featured in the 2024 IceBreaker on February 10, but as far as his Xfinity race schedule is concerned, he did not have a definite plan in place. He did voice out his desire to return to the night race at Bristol for the Xfinity series, but with no official word from his sponsor or the team, it was just a prospect. However, in light of his recent activity with Hellman’s Mayonnaise, Dale Jr’s return to Bristol is now looking more and more possible.

According to a report by the Mount Airy News, Dale Jr and Hellman’s Mayonnaise are working on a campaign together. The move by the mayo company does not come as a surprise, as Dale Jr has been associated with the brand. He ran the Xfinity Series race last season at Bristol, bearing Hellman’s paint scheme.

The co-owner of JR Motorsports is also expected to make an appearance at the Food Lion on West Pines Street. For the most part, the project was kept under wraps, but the billboards and signage about Hellman’s new campaign got NASCAR fans talking, mostly along the lines of his potential return in the Xfinity Series with the brand.

A partnership between the two started back in 2009 when Dale Earnhardt Jr drove Hellman’s mayo-sponsored car at the Daytona International Speedway in the Xfinity Series. Another key highlight of the partnership was the viral video of Jr. making a mayonnaise and banana sandwich.

For the time being, the new collaboration between the two has led to a guessing game, but this could very well pave the way for Dale Jr, to make his return in the Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway.

JR Motorsports is heading in the right direction with the signing of Conor Zilisch

Dale Earnhardt Jr is a smooth operator, be it driving behind the wheel himself or running a successful racing organization. JR Motorsports over the last decade has become a powerhouse team in the Xfinity Series, clinching three driver championships. In a bid to keep this winning legacy up and running, the team has now roped in NASCAR’s next big thing, Conor Zilisch, who will make his NASCAR debut with the team later this season.

Zilisch will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet car, which is shared by Dale Jr himself. Getting his fair share of Xfinity racing experience, the 17-year-old will race in four races at Watkins Glen, Kansas, Homestead-Miami, and Phoenix. Interestingly, he did make his ARCA Menards Series debut at Watkins Glen last year and narrowly missed out on the win, finishing second.
