Dale Earnhardt Jr. is one of the most loved, well-known, and influential names ever in the history of not just NASCAR, but American motorsports. So for someone of his stature, it’d take something or somebody special to ‘wow’ him, to make him star-struck.
That somebody in Earnhardt Jr’s life was rapper Jay Z, and that something was a shoot of a music video and a dinner in Monaco.

In an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Talk Show, Dale Jr. revealed the tale from back in the day when he was asked to be a part of Jay Z’s music video for ‘Show Me What You Got’.
The NASCAR driver revealed how he had to fly to Monaco right after his race in New Hampshire.
“We get off the plane and walking up this hill, and there’s Jay Z, sitting on the side of the street, just chilling on his phone,” he described. “He’s really nice, like, ‘I’m glad you’re here, Thanks for coming all this way,’ and I’m like, ‘This is Monaco and I’m gonna be in a Jay Z video. This was a very easy decision.'”

“And right as I’m telling that, Beyonce walks up. So I got to meet them both right as soon as I got off the airport.”

The NASCAR Hall Of Famer described how they went to dinner in a restaurant, and he was sitting there, waiting for the couple. What happened next more or less, had Dale Jr’s jaw on the floor.

“I’m waiting on them to get to the table and the ceiling in the restaurant opens up and you can see the stars and the moon and I’m like, ‘Man this is a really cool restaurant,'” he described.
As he was looking up at the ceiling, Jay Z and Beyonce walked into the restaurant and sat down at the table. And as soon as they sat down, the ceiling closed.

“They opened the ceiling for them! To come in and sit down,” an excited Dale Jr. told Jimmy Fallon.
