In his tweet, Mike stated, “Can we all agree on this? THANK YOU, Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain for giving NASCAR a rivalry. Good Lord this is the oxygen every sport needs. For that reason, I say with love, respect, and pure unadulterated selfishness.” Hilariously adding, “I hope you never become pals.”

Obviously, he didn’t mean it in a bad way. All he wanted to say was that NASCAR was long waiting for a strong rivalry to spice up things again. With Denny and Ross locking horns, the remainder of the season would surely be a fun thing to watch filled with drama and excitement throughout.
NASCAR fans react to Denny Hamlin being disqualified
After the news broke out about Denny Hamlin being disqualified and being denied his win, fans on Twitter went haywire and a series of mixed reactions followed.
Some fans seemed elated at the news of Chase’s victory. While some said, even though they were Elliott fans this was not the correct way to win it. A few people also compared Elliott to Mickey Mouse. Some asked if Bubba Wallace was in third place how would the internet react for a win, one person stated that it would have broken the internet.
Can’t wait for the chase fans to say he deserved it, the biggest mickey mouse win in history

They did. Both cars, material in the same place on the front fascia that didn't belong there. Not uncommon in the past for team's to get caught for more than one car same infraction.

That might have broken the internet, TBH

As a Chase fan… I'm happy. But also, this really doesn't feel right; he fought hard for a 3rd place, not a win.
I have got to see those inspection results though… what happened!?!

62 years since a win was taken away from a DQ (1960).Doubt it's ever happened to 2 in the same race, let alone the top 2 to give the win to the 3rd place car. And people say NASCAR isn't rigged. Glad I no longer watch. If I was @JoeGibbsRacing I'd boycott the rest of the season.

Not sure why so many are on Chase for this. He didn't ask, and I'm sure he is happy about a win, but not like this.
