2023 has been a splendid year for the CARS Tour. The competition provided a platform for high-octane Late Model action and for race car drivers from all age groups to prove their talent on the big stage. The competition also announced the addition of zMAX as a title sponsor, opening the door to opportunities for the series. Following the announcements, 2024 promises to be an even better year for the CARS Tour than 2023.

Using the opportunity, Kaden Honeycutt is one of the drivers who raced with some of the best in the business. He has now publicly expressed his desire to race in the Cup Series. As tough as the progression to his dream might seem, Honeycutt’s rate of development could make it happen faster than one would expect. He has featured in ARCA Menards West and Truck Series finales this season and is currently one of the hottest prospects in NASCAR. However, speaking to SiriusXM host Davey Segal, the youngster made a surprising claim as he named the CARS Tour as the toughest competition he has raced in.

Over the years, the CARS Tour has undergone a myriad of changes. But the change that impacted it the most, in a positive way, was a change in ownership. The competition is owned by an alliance of Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Justin Marks, and Kevin Harvick. The shift was instantaneous as it brought some of the sport’s brightest minds together. Kaden Honeycutt is among the rising stars who have used this platform to the best of their abilities. Other youngsters like Carson Kvapil, Katie Hettinger, and Brenden Queen have also showcased their potential through it this year.

Speaking about what makes the CARS Tour stand out from other series in the sport, Kaden Honeycutt stated, “I think it’s the hardest racing I’ve ever done in my life.

“Compared to this year, it’s been the most competitive season and the best couple of years. I’ve really enjoyed it, and I think it’s just the hardest racing; that’s why I love it, and that’s why I wanted to do it as long as I possibly can. I really want to run Trucks next year, but also still want to run CARS Tour, which I still can. I’m really excited to be able to do more Late Model races, and I’ll run a couple ARCA races for Steve McGowan and Bruce Cook Racing.”

Kaden Honeycutt’s story with the ARCA West began when MMI Racing tried to sign him for the final four races of the West Series calendar. This was another chance for Steve McGowan to secure his first-ever owners’ championship, and Honeycutt helped him to do the same by finishing ninth in the West Series finale. Expressing his admiration for the team, Honeycutt claimed,

“I appreciate them wanting me to come back and do some more more. I still have racing I can do and pretty much I’ll do the same series again next year. We will have to plan announcements pretty soon, hopefully, and yeah, we are just really looking forward to it. Just that CARS Tour is a different breed of racing and I need to keep on doing it.”

Kaden Honeycutt’s love for the CARS Tour doesn’t surprise anyone, considering how things have taken shape for the competition in the past few years.

A few weeks ago, the CARS Tour management announced its schedule for the upcoming season. One of the major attractions was the presence of the iconic North Wilkesboro on it. As the schedule expanded from 16 races to 20 for next year, it included two events at the North Wilkesboro Speedway.

The speedway received fresh air earlier this year, with NASCAR running the All-Star Race in May following a track renovation. With Dale Earnhardt Jr playing a vital role in its revival, he saw a great chance to use it to the CARS Tour’s advantage. The two races at the track in 2024 will be during the All-Star Weekend in May 2024 and the championship race in October.

“For our drivers and teams to be able to race there, in and around the NASCAR industry…all of the drivers in both the Pro and Late Model Stock Car categories dream of making it to the big time,” claimed Dale Jr. “The closer we can align with those ideals, the better, and when we race at North Wilkesboro, it really gets them in front of some influential people in the industry to be able to showcase what they can do.
