There are some wrecks that don’t look as bad but end up resulting in heavy injuries and impact for the drivers. Then there are wrecks that look bad but the drivers escape unharmed from them. Then there’s the Kyle Larson-Ty Dillon wreck that was both, something Dale Earnhardt Jr’s reaction perfectly encapsulated.

Reacting to this wreck, Earnhardt Jr. reposted a video of it on his Instagram stories, writing, “This don’t even look real.”
Speaking about this wreck in a post-race interview, Ty Dillon described it as the worst one of his career in terms of impact.
“I didn’t see a whole lot. I saw a blue flash and I’ve never been hit so hard in my life,” Dillon said. “I’m grateful the good Lord was looking out for me and these cars are so safe.”
