Earlier, Brad Keselowski gave NASCAR fans a taste of a new viewing feature. To be exact, he introduced a helmet camera, which gave fans a driver’s eye view. Needless to say, Dale Earnhardt Jr was one of its biggest fans, and he lavished a lot of praise. However it is worth mentioning that not a lot of fans agreed with him. Nevertheless, the NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville vindicated the NASCAR legend, thanks to Ross Chastain.

This was because Ross Chastain pulled off an incredible move to rocket up from 10th to 5th. The best part was that the onboard footage was available for the fans to watch. Admittedly, it was no helmet camera, but the dashboard camera was just as exciting to watch. Especially when Chastain ground his car against the wall as he sailed past his rivals.

The footage showed the #1 car simply gunning the throttle in the final couple of corners. Owing to that, the Trackhouse Racing car shot straight ahead and ground against the outside wall. Everyone could clearly see the punishment that the car was enduring. In the end, it was all worth it, because he ended up fifth and through to the Championship 4.

Ross Chastain will be gunning for his maiden Cup title

Now, the race for the Cup championship is truly on, as all the contenders have been decided. Joey Logano was the first to book his berth with his win at Las Vegas. The next race at Homestead-Miami didn’t see any of the contenders winning, as it was Kyle Larson in Victory Lane. The defending champion had already been eliminated, so his win made no difference.

Finally, Christopher Bell was the second driver to automatically seal his berth. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott and Ross Chastain accrued enough points to sneak into the season finale. Now, it all comes down to the final race of the season at the Phoenix Raceway.
