Tyler Reddick shocked everyone with a surprise move to Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing. The timing of this announcement puts Richard Childress Racing in a bit of an awkward position. Considering that only recently, RCR announced Tyler to stay with them in 2023. RCR did not seem too pleased with the news.

Tyler Reddick just recently scored his first Cup Series win at Road America with RCR. Denny Hamlin, who is the co-owner of 23XI Racing, suddenly delivered the shock announcement to the media right as RCR announced to confirm Reddick’s seat for 2023.

Dale Earnhardt Jr took to Twitter to express his massive shock with a photo of Dwayne “The R0ck” Johnson saying, “Oh Damn!”.

Fans were quick to react along. Not everyone was amused at the weird timing of the announcement. Some stated that this would cause tensions at RCR.

Tyler took a little longer than expected to grab his debut win in 2022. With a spectacular win at Road America after dueling with Chase Elliot.

He has led 329 laps and scored 458 points so far. He currently sits at 10th in the standings. He’s well over the playoff cutoffs that are to begin later this year.
