JR Motorsports had a great result in Dover this time around. The team saw success as Josh Berry took home his first win in the Xfinity series. Furthermore, their other three drivers also finished in the top five to provide Dale Jr. and his team with a great result at the Dover Motor Speedway. However, there were some serious issues.
As a few pointed out, the pit crew was not up to the mark at Dover. Justin Allgaier was running second when he was called in for a Pit Stop. Unfortunately, a slow stop cost Allgaier 3 positions on lap 159 as he rejoined the race in fifth.

Given the costly time in the pits, fans didn’t shy away from sharing their distaste for the pit lane mishap.
Fans Believe That Hendrick Motorsports’ Pit Crew Should Be Fired
NASCAR fans shared their views and said that it’ll be justified if Dale Earnhardt Jr. decided to fire the pit crew.
One fan said, “That pit crew will be lucky just to get suspensions and fines by NASCAR for the loose wheel. Junior would be justified in firing the ones who work for JRM.”

Now, this begs the following question- will this put Hendrick Motorsports at risk? Considering that a pit crew that has been suspended from the Xfinity series can very well be a part of the Cup Series.
NASCAR says that those suspended for wheels coming off in Xfinity does not impact their ability to be on a pit crew for Cup cars.

This creates doubts for many fans because they believe the pit crew can be a liability to Hendrick Motorsports’ Cup Series team if they were to work for them.
So suspending them from one series due to a safety issue, but still letting them compete in another series. That’s like if a warehouse forklift driver hit something and was being unsafe so they ban him from that building but he can still work in another. Nascar rules at it again!

That is the dumbest thing I have heard. If he fails a drug test in one series, he isn't suspended for only that series. Cup drivers have done something in lower series and been suspended in the Cup series before. I think the 3 crew guys being suspended is a joke anyways.
