Born into a racing family, it was written in the stars that young Wyatt Miller would eventually embrace the racing track. Apart from the Earnhardt clan, L.W. Miller, Wyatt’s father, also comes from a racing background. Yet, the real ignition of his passion happened on an unexpected 2020 Midwest trip, intended for fall hunting preparations. What started as a simple weekend morphed into a thrilling three-week racing marathon for the Earnhardt clan.

Wyatt caught “the racing bug” from his very first race, and by his third, he was already tasting victory at Sebastian Speedway in Gladstone, IL. Fueled by this early success, the family took an RV tour across four states, racing on eight different nights. Impressively, Wyatt clinched four wins, even bagging a trophy at the esteemed Outlaw Kart Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa.

Close to home, Wyatt is a familiar face at Millbridge Speedway in North Carolina, competing fiercely in the A-Class Wing Micro Division. His trophy shelf boasts titles like the Restricted Micro Champion and the 2021 Beginner Box Stock Champion of Millbridge Speedway.

And yet, adding another feather to his cap, recently, the young prodigy celebrated his first Micro 600 race win at the same venue, proudly sharing his victory on Instagram with a caption that read, Finally got my first Micro 600 win at @millbridgespeedway last night. I ended up 2nd in the points race too! Happy with my year, but we can improve and I can’t wait until next year. Thank you to all my partners and my team at @_cbindustries.”

Later on, the post was reshared by Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his Instagram story. At just 12, Wyatt Miller’s ability to experience his exhilarating journey, both on and off the track, is commendable—a skill even his seasoned uncle might’ve taken a while to master. Kelley Miller, the sister of Dale Earnhardt Jr., also echoed this sentiment, confessing that Wyatt Miller’s flair for motorsport and social media has been evident since his early days. The Earnhardt legacy, it seems, is in skillful and savvy hands!

Just as Dale Earnhardt was synonymous with racing brilliance, tenacity, and a never-ending zeal to evolve, his grandson is proving to be a chip off the old block. Kelley, witnessing her son’s fervor, can’t help but see reflections of her father in him. On Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s podcast, she shared heartwarming anecdotes about Wyatt Miller’s voracious appetite for motorsports knowledge.

“He is non-stop on YouTube. I can always hear him listening to old racing broadcasts—sprint cars, NASCAR, motorsports. I mean, for the longest time, he was watching Dan Wheldon’s kids. I had no idea. Like, he was talking about their names, and I’m like, How do you know that? And he’s like, I watched them on YouTube, Mom! So like, all these things that he does, I know as parents we are supposed to know everything our kids do, but yeah, he is like an encyclopedia sometimes.”
