Suffice to say, Ty Gibbs did himself no favors when he wrecked his own teammate out of a win and a spot in the final four. But as if in an attempt to one-up their own driver, his team, Joe Gibbs Racing, did themselves no favors by taking no action on Gibbs, something Dale Earnhardt Jr simply wouldn’t have done.

“I hate to get too critical about it or too descriptive about it because I got three cars racing in the championship race in Phoenix and I don’t wanna sound biased about my opinions about the move…but I’mma tell you right now, if our guys were in that scenario, I would have a massive issue with it,” he said.
“Especially if one of my guys who is already locked in is taking one of his teammates out for an opportunity to race.”
Earnhardt Jr. emphasized that his problem with such an incident in his own team would be so big, that it’d take “some time to resolve” internally.

Dale Earnhardt Jr doesn’t know how Ty Gibbs will dig himself out of the situation he’s in
