At the Daytona 500, Brad Keselowski did himself no favors with his on-track antics. The RFK driver was the cause of a few wrecks during the race, and expectedly earned the wrath and criticism of several drivers and fans. In light of this, Dale Earnhardt Jr analyzed the race from Keselowski’s point of view and offered some observations.

He said, “Brad just kept on racing the same way. If you know Brad [Keselowski], that’s not a big surprise, cause he’s out there for Brad. Especially with his new deal, he’s out there to prove he made the right choice. He’s definitely racing, maybe he’s racing with a chip on his shoulder. Out there, trying to show everybody, he’s going to turn Roush back into the program it used to be.”

What else did Dale Earnhardt Jr say about Keselowski?
Dale Jr acknowledged that in a NASCAR race, wrecks will happen, and someone will be the trigger. However, the saying goes, ‘Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me’; in essence, drivers know that once they cause their first wreck, they are under the scanner for the rest of the race. So, for Brad Keselowski to be the epicenter of more than one wreck is not good for his reputation.

In addition to that, it will only serve to paint a target on his back, because some drivers could possibly be angry enough to want to seek revenge. If he had just been involved in one accident, Keselowski could have had the benefit of the doubt for it being accidental. However, the repeated incidents could lead drivers to conclude that it was deliberate. Considering that some racers can be hot-headed, there is a strong chance of retaliation in the coming races.

Hopefully, Keselowski does not race like this again, as the last thing he needs is to make enemies on the track.
