NASCAR is one of those unique racing leagues where we witness constant updates implemented to the sport. We got to see this recently as well. The organization has implemented a rather much-needed change as per Dale Earnhardt Jr. While hard-core fans of the sport seem to be skeptical, Dale Jr believes it’s for the greater good.
The last race in the Circuit of The Americas saw the governing body implement a rather controversial move. NASCAR has hit a home run by removing stage cautions to keep the road courses exciting and short for its fans. This meant that stage winners would still get the points, while also not giving up their chances of winning the race. On top of that, this also makes the race strategies interesting.

Please get rid of stage cautions period. This was an actual enjoyable race. Back to how racing should be. Where you can’t plan for cautions, but go from start to finish.

really hope we get to see it at ovals next

While others sided with the older format.
Disagree Dale . Restarts are fun to watch on a road course

I’d prefer they stay. Especially at ovals.

I slept through most of it. I don’t know what racing everyone has been enjoying before the last 10
Laps. The stage breaks are the only thing that provide racing by bringing the field back together. I don’t want to see the leader with a 6 second lead.— Mikie McBride (@scmbmj) March 26, 2023
