For avid NASCAR fans, Dale Earnhardt Jr., aka Dale Jr., is a beacon of longing in this dying era of traditionalists in the sport. Over the years, the organization has been under severe fire from purists and old-school aficionados for rambling away from the core values woven into the fabric of the sport and embracing extreme changes.

The sudden shift in the sport, embodying more road courses and shortening iconic tracks like NWB, can be attributed to the likes of younger fans. And following the rain-shortened Quaker State 400, some of these fans have been demanding even shorter format races.

Dale Jr., often lauded as a traditionalist, is the brain behind the resurgence of the NWB and has some real words for the revolutionaries. Shedding light on what happened in Atlanta and listing some of the gray areas of NASCAR, Dale Jr. said, We have one of our most entertaining products at Atlanta, and we got people talking about shortening that race where we have, we have work to do in other places, short track package, road course we got work to do.”

The Hall of Famer then laid it out in simple terms, saying, Stay focused, shortening up a race that’s fricking totally fu**ing fine. Focus.” Underscoring the importance of focusing on these areas, he goes on a sarcastic rant along with his manager, Mike Davis.
