November is shaping up to be a Bass Pro Shops bonanza for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Not only is he gearing up to hit the track at Florence Motor Speedway this week with a No. 3 car sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, but he’s also taken it up a notch by starring in a commercial for them, alongside his motorsport-loving nephew Wyatt Miller.
Dale Jr offered a sneak peek for the AD on his Instagram, revealing his enthusiasm for the shoot. The commercial made its debut in the spotlight of the 2023 NASCAR Championship weekend at Phoenix, revealing the actor that is hidden inside Dale Jr.

Earnhardt is revving up for his second Late Model race of 2023. The first one was at the revived North Wilkesboro Speedway CARS Tour event. His car, draped in a golden paint job and emblazoned with his father’s friend’s (Johnny Morris) company logo (Bass Pro Shops), is most likely going to be a nostalgic nod to his late father.
Bass Pro Shops isn’t just a sponsor on the track, they’re also planning on backing Dale Jr in two Xfinity races next year. Earnhardt has previously made splashy one-off appearances at tracks like Richmond, Darlington, Homestead, and Bristol. Josh Berry, Dale Earnhardt Jr’s bidding Xfinity driver, who’s going to make a debut in the 2024 season with Stewart-Haas Racing, is also riding the Bass Pro wave. The company would be sponsoring him in 11 Xfinity Series races next season.
But it’s not just the racetrack where Earnhardt is flying the Bass Pro flag. A recent commercial, featuring his nephew and budding racer, Wyatt Miller, showcases how partnerships can boost one’s profile. Dale Jr. shared a sneak peek of this on Instagram, captioning it: “@wyattwmiller73 and I had some fun filming @bassproshops newest commercial. Clink the link in my bio to watch the full spot. 🎣”
In a team release, Earnhardt Jr expressed his excitement about the continued partnership with Bass Pro Shops, noting the success they’ve enjoyed together and looking forward to bringing the Bass Pro Chevrolets to various tracks in 2023. He said, “We’ve had a lot of success together with Bass Pro Shops over the years, and that’s been a big part in seeing this partnership evolve. I can’t say enough about what it means to have Johnny and Bass Pro involved on so many levels with us. The JRM Bass Pro Chevrolets will be at a lot of different race tracks in 2023, and I can’t wait to be part of it.”

This partnership with Bass Pro Shops resonates deeply with Earnhardt, likely because it echoes his father’s legacy, who once proudly sported the Bass Pro Shops’ logo on his golden race car.

And now again, the 2023 South Carolina 400 race on November 18th, will mark his second one in the storied race. Earlier this year, Earnhardt also competed in Florence’s Icebreaker, finishing 16th, and notched a sixth-place finish in the Locked In 150. Since last year Dale Earnhardt has been trying to revive the position of the short tracks as it was back before the inception of next-gen cars.
