In 2013, Dale Earnhardt Jr. started Dirty Mo Radio with his iconic Dale Jr. Download show. Mike Davis, JR Motorsports’ Director of Communications, hosted the show. However, over time, Dale Jr.’s media company made strides with multiple podcasts and show launches. One of the most famous shows of the brand is ‘Door, Bumper, Clear.’ As the 2025 season approaches, Dale Jr. announced a revamped lineup.
In a recent episode of The Dale Jr. Download, former NASCAR driver revealed that Freddie Kraft and Tommy Baldwin will join the show. “Freddie Kraft is going to continue to host the show, and it’s being shaped in a new direction. Albeit, I think it will still be similar to the thread DBC has lived in all these years. Freddie had the bright idea to bring on Tommy Baldwin,” Dale Jr. stated on his podcast.
This comment revealed that out of three constant members of the show, Kraft will be the only one to continue. He will be joined by his longtime friend and former NASCAR Cup Series crew chief Tommy Baldwin. He currently owns a Modified team and also serves as crew chief in the league. Dale Jr. described Baldwin as an outspoken, no-holds-barred personality who will add an exciting dynamic to the show.
“Tommy is very outspoken, no holds barred tells it like it is and he and Freddie are very close friends… And you know Tommy very honest, opinionated pretty straightforward guy… It’s gonna be fun to hear,” Dale Jr. spoke on his show. He further revealed the third member of the show as he said, “And Karsyn stepped in a couple of times over the past year as a bit of a referee, if you will, and she doesn’t get pushed around, which I think is cool and so I kind of like what I’ve seen from her over the past.”
While fans are eager to see the revamped show, the departure of longtime hosts Brett Griffin and TJ Majors marks the end of an era. Notably, Griffin has been a longtime spotter for Bubba Wallace while Majors has been with Brad Keselowski. The duo has played a pivotal role in shaping DBC’s voice. Their chemistry and banter with Kraft defined the podcast’s early years. It’s worth noting that TJ Majors will now join Dale Jr. Download. Replacing them in some capacity is Karsyn Elledge, Kelly Earnhardt Miller’s daughter and Dale Jr.’s niece.
Although the changes have sparked mixed reactions, Dale Jr. remains confident about the new lineup’s potential to resonate with fans. However, these departures also hint at a broader trend within Dirty Mo Media, with other key figures stepping away in recent months.

A concerning trend in Dirty Mo Media

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s media empire has undergone significant transitions over the past year. Among the notable exits was Mike Davis, longtime co-host of the “Dale Jr. Download” and a driving force behind Dirty Mo Media’s success. Davis stepped away from the mic to focus on his role as the company’s president and executive producer. His departure sparked a controversy, as he had been very close to Dale Jr. for two decades.
However, Davis rubbished all these speculations and said, “I was starting to hold a bit of a grudge. Not at anybody in particular, but just at the situation. I wasn’t able to really kind of put my efforts energy and thoughts into the company. Starting new shows, doing those things, and still doing the Download… the Download was a commitment.”
