It’s no secret that country music goes hand in hand with NASCAR. From the ‘NASCAR Goes Country’ album to the country singer, Marty Robbins, who raced in 35 Cup Series races, The Oval has some deep ties to the Western Swing. With that said, two such NASCAR aficionados from the world of Country music were in the spotlight lately for news which Morgan Wallen certainly isn’t too proud of.

The former Voice contestant and Sneedville resident was arrested late Sunday night in downtown Nashville for reportedly throwing a chair from the roof of the Chiefs bar owned by fellow Country singer Eric Church. That’s right, the man who paid homage to Dale Earnhardt a few years ago with his ‘Talladega’ performance fell victim to Wallen’s shenanigans on Sunday, prompting Earnhardt Junior to sympathize with the singer and bar owner.

Dale Earnhardt Jr is baffled by Morgan Wallen’s wild shenanigans

On the latest episode of the Dale Junior Download, the JR Motorsports co-owner reviewed the shocking news from the Country Music community. He stated, “Oh, did y’all see Morgan Wallen threw the chair from on top of the Chief’s?” According to reports, there were two Metro Nashville Police Department officers on standby right around where the chair landed. According to Billboard, this prompted them to investigate eyewitnesses and go over CCTV footage to “confirm Wallen’s alleged action”.

The Chief’s Bar, a beautiful newly opened location of Eric Church’s famous live-music venture, soon created headlines for all the wrong reasons. But what had Earnhardt Jr even more confused with Wallen’s reported actions was the timing of it all. Junior stated, “I wonder if Eric Church was calling him up like, ‘Hey man, that’s not helping’, and it happened at like 10:30!” Usually, one would expect the party to get wilder as the night dies down, but that wasn’t the case for Wallen’s party.

Earnhardt Jr couldn’t believe how early in the night things had gone wrong. He stated, “I would throw parties back in the day, right? And you’d always have that guy or friend that was always going to probably maybe do like the party stopper thing at some point in the night. You’d just hope it would be at 1 or 2 in the morning, not at 10:30. You know, he’s gonna punch your buddy from high school or hit on somebody’s girl and it’s gonna be, ‘party’s over! Big fight!’. You can’t be doing stuff at 10:30.”

According to CBS News, Wallen faced charges on three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. But that wasn’t all. Wallen’s wallet will also feel the brunt of his actions, as the bond was set to $15,250. On only the third day of opening, Eric Church’s new location had cost the man who considers him a mentor, heavily.

Whilst Junior quickly scolded Wallen for his shenanigans, the community couldn’t get enough of Eric Church’s witty response to the ordeal.

The community rejoices as Eric Church has the last laugh

Nearly two days after Morgan Wallen was arrested for the incident at Chief’s Broadway location, their official Instagram account shared their hilarious new Marquee. Making light of the situation, the bar opted to make a play on Wallen’s actions with the words – “Our pigs fly, our chairs don’t”. The incident had specifically occurred in Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog Rooftop BBQ, making the wordplay a great take on marketing.
