Dale Earnhardt Jr Reacts as Denny Hamlin Hits the Top 5 List on Debut Despite Suffering from Pain & Injury

Earlier this year, Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr practically broke the minds of NASCAR fans. This was because the Joe Gibbs Racing star had just established a new podcast in partnership with Dale Jr’s Dirty Mo Media. As one of the more outspoken drivers, many people are dying to hear Hamlin completely unfiltered. Safe to say, Hamlin’s Actions Detrimental with Denny Hamlin was a roaring success. To be precise, the podcast managed to breach the Top 5 podcasts in the United States of America.

Admittedly, Hamlin made a small confession on his Instagram story that he wasn’t feeling well during the first episode. Despite that, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was thrilled to see this podcast hit the ground running. This was because he had a crash and felt really uncomfortable in the car. Nevertheless, he managed to wrangle the car to 9th place at the Los Angeles Coliseum. In his podcast, he highlighted the bumper tags, which gave him quite the jolt, especially when Ross Chastain tagged him. All in all, he was extremely unhappy with how the race panned out, and he was not the only one.

What next for Denny Hamlin in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season?

Hamlin will probably be a bit relieved that the Clash at the Coliseum is not a points race. Other drivers like Kyle Busch would most likely echo that sentiment, especially since he got short-changed during the race. During one instance, defending champion Joey Logano punted him off, and he dropped to the back. From there, he managed to mount a heck of a comeback to eventually finish in third place. This was behind race winner and former teammate Martin Truex Jr. and current teammate Austin Dillon.

As for Hamlin, arch-nemesis Ross Chastain besieged him. Like Busch, he was also bundled down the order and was forced to fight his way back up. However, his job was made a lot more difficult by how uncomfortable he was inside the car. The good news was that he managed to get through the race in one piece and recover to finish 9th.
