Over the course of the last two years, Kyle Larson has shown, week after week, that he is a once-in-a-generation talent. The Hendrick driver has shown his sheer talent and insatiable hunger for not only racing but winning. And he has not only raced but won.
Be it the revered NASCAR Cup Series or the prestigious peaks of dirt racing, Larson has run and won them all.
And naturally, it won’t be long before the man from the Elk Grove wages on running in the INDY500. This was something Dale Earnhardt Jr also recently touched upon.

During a recent episode of the Ask Jr. segment of his Dale Jr. Download podcast, the NASCAR Hall of Famer was asked whether fans can expect the defending Cup champion to be behind the wheel of a single-seater in Indianapolis.
“Yeah, I mean he’s talked about it,” Earnhardt Jr said. “I think he’ll get to a point in his life when he starts to really take stock in his age… if he’s gonna run the INDY500, he wants to run it to win it.”
“And he needs to do that in a certain period of time before he ages himself out, (before) his chances of being competitive in a competitive car and all that goes away.”
Dale Earnhardt Jr believes Kyle Larson has “plenty of time” for INDY500
The former Hendrick driver said about Larson’s INDY500 contention, “I think that he definitely, he has plenty of time to worry about this, he doesn’t have to be in a hurry.”

Although Dale Jr feels if Larson is serious about this, he’ll eventually have to start going through some serious preparation and doing things that will “put him in the position” to run in the INDY500.
“If we’re betting, I’ll put my money on him absolutely running it,” Dale Earnhardt Jr said.
