Reigning NASCAR Truck Series champion Zane Smith just dropped a tantalizing bombshell. During the interview, Smith coyly hinted at a major announcement regarding his future in the sport. With an air of palpable excitement, in four words, Smith said, “Deal is done.”

He further revealed, “I know what I’m doing. But hopefully, the news will come out this week or sometime soon. We are working hard to get it out now.”

It was signed last week, and I’m super excited for it and for what the future holds. And like I said, it’s a weight off my shoulders knowing that I have a future in the sport. We all know I feel like in any professional sport from a driver-athlete side, you never know when your time is gonna end. So to see some clarity in a paved road is super exciting. Just another weight off my shoulders to go focus and perform at Bristol tomorrow night,” he added.

JR Motorsports has a strong history of helping groom young talent, and we’re looking forward to giving Zane that platform for success.”

In 2022, Dale Earnhardt Jr further endorsed Smith on Twitter, praising him: “Zane is a great dude with serious potential on the Cup side one day. Likely very soon. Fans got to be excited about the kind of career he has/can carve out for himself in NASCAR.”
