It was just the beginning of the year when four stalwarts from the NASCAR world took the initiative to venture into the world of Late Model Racing. As a result, the bright minds of Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Justin Marks worked together to take the CARS Tour series to great heights. With the series gaining popularity, the series owners are ready to capitalize.

Consequently, the owners appeared in front of the media to unveil the blueprint for the 2024 season. The CARS Tour is not a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. Every stakeholder has their designated role to play. This was apparent from Dale Earnhardt Jr’s interview with Frontstretch as he heaved praises on his partner and Trackhouse Racing co-owner, Justin Marks.

The 2023 Cup Series season has been the cauldron for experimentation, and it fetched unprecedented success. Whether it was the introduction of street course races or an increased number of road course races in the schedule, the elite series of NASCAR seemed to deviate away from its traditional ways of racing. Amidst this burgeoning transformation, one of the flagbearers of this change has been none other than the owner of Trackhouse Racing, Justin Marks.

Striving to diversify the sport, Marks has played the role of host and invited drivers from other forms of motorsports to pilot a stock car. However, Marks’ success is not only restricted to the elite world of NASCAR as he has joined forces with Dale Earnhardt Jr and others in the series, which has been renamed as zMax CARS Tour. The micro lubricant organization owned by Speedway Motorsports has been named as the entitlement sponsor for the series.

Having said that, it seems that Dale Earnhardt Jr is in complete awe of the young team owner. In an interview, a reporter of Frontstretch media asked Junior, “With this new ownership group you, Justin, Kevin, and Jeff, what’s been your favorite part working with that group so far in the first season of the CARS Tour thing?”

To this, the JR Motorsports co-owner retorted, “I think you know it’s every one of the guys in the group has brought a different expertise. Justin is a very marketing-savvy, creating logos and thinking about how to raise- improve the brand and make it stronger. I don’t have that intuition so I think that everybody brings certain expertise and abilities to help.”

Like Dale Jr, his fellow Kevin Harvick also addressed the media regarding how the new owners of the CARS Tour have helped its popularity.

With the excitement reaching its pinnacle, another co-owner of the series and 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick expressed to the media, “This year we committed ourselves to helping grow an already-established CARS Tour, and regional asphalt racing as a whole, having the opportunity to bring on a respected brand and partner like zMAX does so much for the health and professionalism of the zMAX CARS Tour.”

“Our veterans are the group of guys that teach our young guys how to race. It’s really an old-school approach, and when you look at the CARS Tour, they have a group of guys that race a lot and those guys showing up year after year is important because they have a great fan base. You need those veterans that have those followings and can teach along the way,” Harvick asserted.
