Recently, a video emerged of Martin Truex Jr. climbing out of his number 19 car. But the internet was confused as they saw a member of the pit crew with the number 18 shirt on. Everyone, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., thought it was Kyle Busch.

Dale Jr. put up a story on Instagram stating, “Damn won’t this be confusing on Sunday”.

Meanwhile, Fans on Twitter took notice of the confusing video posted by NASCAR talking about “his” first pole since 2018 and reacted accordingly.

One fan tagged Kyle Busch asking why Martin had his number and paint scheme on.

Martin Truex Jr. qualified for his first pole with Joe Gibbs Racing on Saturday at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr’s reaction to his first Pole since 2018

Truex Jr. will be leading the grid at the start of the race for the first time in a while. He put in a stellar lap to earn his 20th career pole and the first one for Joe Gibbs Racing.

During the post-qualification interview, Martin said, “I’m really just proud of everybody on the team. We’ve had an up-and-down year and we’ve been digging and clawing and scratching and fighting and just proud of everyone.”

“This track has always been a special one for me. I certainly didn’t come here expecting to have this kind of speed.”

“It’s going to be very difficult to pass. You could kind of see it in practice. Track position will be huge. Our pit crew has really come a long way since the beginning of the year and we’re really going to have to lean on them tomorrow.”

Toyota took over most of the front starting spots of the grid, with Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace taking up 3rd and 4th spots, respectively, with one Chevrolet of Chase Elliott sitting in second place.

Meanwhile, Kyle Busch had a horrible qualifying session and he’ll be starting 17th on the grid alongside Ross Chastain. While getting pole is crucial, statistically, in the past 17 races held at New Hampshire, only one of them was won by the pole sitter.
