Carpe-diem or seize the day. This is perhaps the dictum that rules Tony Stewart’s life. The 51-year-old does not let the pressure of the future burden his today. He loves to enjoy the present. He is out there in the world, living his life to the last drop. At least that’s what Dale Earnhardt Jr thinks.

Dale Earnhardt Jr appreciates Tony Stewart’s mindset

In a candid conversation with Mike Davis, Dale Jr’s co-host in Dale Jr Download, Dale Jr unraveled his acknowledgment for the Stewart-Haas co-owner. Dale Jr. in the latest episode remarked, “I was really curious to talk to him. Loved catching up, excited about everything he is doing. Becoming a Tony Stewart fan as a drag racer. And basic yeah.”

While commenting on Tony’s mindset, Dale Jr exclaimed, “But he has that sort of interesting mindset, that it’s all seat-to-the pants. There is no plan, there is no vision, no future out there that he is looking at. There is no blueprint or path. It’s just… hey, this is what we are doing.”

And to this, Mike Davis humorously replies, “Have Fun. I [as Stewart] am gonna have fun today. And figure out tomorrow, tomorrow.”

Dale Jr. who is yet to charter the tracks of drag racing, considered, “Well, I already admired John Force and all of the legends”. He also attests to the fact “I used to watch these videos called, ‘And They Walked Away’,” where drag raced survived some of the most horrific crashes.

He added, “I have a massive amount of respect and appreciation for the daredevil aspect.”
