Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney are known to be really good friends both on and off track. However, recently, the Team Penske Driver whipped out an anti-Chase Elliott video on his social media. The video was so hilarious that it even caught former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr’s attention.

Jr. shared the reel on his story with the captions stating, “THIS IS PRETTY SPORTY MARKETING. EVEN @CHASEELLIOTT9 WOULD AGREE.”

The 30-second video posted by Blaney talks about how Elliott eats chicken wings with a fork and a knife. It then also mentions how Elliott lied that he liked chicken wings when the fact is that he does not like them at all. Obviously, it was all in good humour. The two are also really good friends in real life.

Why did Blaney post this video?

The campaign was most likely posted, because of the ongoing voting to decide who would be crowned the most popular driver of this season.

The award is given after multiple rounds of fan voting concludes. At the moment Elliott is in the top 10 of the highest votes and it seems like Blaney wants to make sure Elliott misses out on the award. Imagine if Elliott’s sponsor, Hooters got a wind of this and figured out that Elliott in fact hates to eat wings. They would not be all too happy about it. Obviously, they won’t drop him for such a frivolous issue. But considering the most popular driver awards are being presented by Hooters, they can pull off a mega prank on the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Champion.
