As the excitement of the NASCAR-Le Mans project grows as it edges closer and closer, and so would the anticipation of who the drivers would be for the entry. But if you ask Dale Earnhardt Jr., he already has his two guys shortlisted for the role.
In a recent Ask Jr. segment of his podcast show, the NASCAR Hall of Famer revealed the two drivers he believes would be the perfect fit for representing NASCAR in France next year.
“I’ll tell you the couple guys’ names that popped into my head is AJ Allmendinger. He races in IMSA a lot and I think has a NASCAR background as well. (He) would be a perfect guy to put in there, (he) would know exactly what he needs to be doing at all times,” Dale Jr. said.

“I couldn’t think of a better guy that would be a quick, competitive driver for that car that would keep that where they need to be.”
The other name that Earnhardt Jr suggested is Boris Said.
He described him as another driver that not only has the NASCAR experience, but one who would know where he needs to be on track, and what his objective is during the race.
