Dale Earnhardt Jr. has amassed a net worth of a whopping $300 million after an illustrious career at the top flight of NASCAR. But with that net worth comes a lot of nice cars! But it seems like Junior got a little too caught up with the cars and money because he lost one of his most precious cars.

Believe it or not, he lost it in his own estates!

Well, it wouldn’t be too challenging for anyone to lose a car in a 3,300-square-foot property. Especially if you account for the racecar graveyard, which is where the car went missing, to begin with. It was one of the cars he added to his graveyard.

In a 2019 interview with Good Morning America, one of the hosts asked Dale Jr., “You lost a car for a year?”

And he recalled the hilarious story as he described the graveyard, “I did. I posted that on Instagram recently. So I have this race car graveyard. It’s hard to explain. As you see, there’s the car right there.”

He added, “That’s a car that is a Land-speed record car. And somebody donated that to me to be able to put in this race car graveyard. It’s like 80 acres of Woods with all these trails through it. And there’s about 80 or 90 race cars in the graveyard. And they all have a different story. And so that car there’s in the graveyard. There you see a few more.”

Yep! He lost the land-speed record car in his graveyard! Luckily, he found it. But how did he lose it in the first place?

How did Dale Earnhardt Jr. even lose the car?

Well, he did find it, but it seems like finding cars is like a little project he does every once a while with his family. Because he had a friend hide those cars so he can go look for them with his wife and daughter.

Junior talked about how he lost the car, “I actually task my property manager, a friend of mine to put the cars back there. I don’t know where they go.”

But hey, it’s all a nice family activity as he adds, “That’s the fun part you get on the four-wheeler or side by side and you go riding back there with Isla(his daughter), Amy(wife) and you find out where these cars are sitting and that land-speed record car hid from me for a year before I finally found it.”
