His tweet read, “Pushed a bit too hard and had some under rotation in turn 6. Cost us p4. Happy to be starting p7 for my first go in Nascar trucks. 20 min practice comes at you fast but looking forward to hopefully getting some laps and experience tomorrow. Having a blast.”

During the post-qualifying interview, Marco Andretti shared his perspective on the unique challenges he faced as he made the switch from IndyCar to the NASCAR Truck Series. He acknowledged the differences between the two disciplines and the learning curve involved. Andretti’s comments highlighted his enjoyment of certain race tracks and his ambitions for the race, showcasing his confidence and determination to excel in the NASCAR world.

When asked about his experience of driving NASCAR Trucks, this is what he said.

“It’s still fun. It’s just a different beast, Having laps on the track definitely helped me, because my learning curve was a lot steeper in the Xfinity car at the ROVAL.”

He also shared his disappointment with the Xfinity race at ROVAL. “I didn’t enjoy myself at the ROVAL, This is a real race track. Lots of laps at it. It helps that I didn’t have to learn the track, I just had to learn the truck.”

He was also asked about the difference between driving IndyCar vs Stock Cars. To which he replied, “Stock cars and IndyCars are almost like baseball and basketball. For me to go quicker today, I actually had to slow down. That’s a good thing I think,” Andretti added. “I’d rather have to slow somebody down rather than having to speed them up. The potential is there.”

He also shed light on the troubles at turn 6 of the track. “Actually, it didn’t even show the potential in the top 10,” Andretti explained. “I couldn’t get it turned in Turn 6. So, I think we were about third or fourth there potentially. There’s a lot more coming from me.”
