If there’s one person who passionately wishes the best for NASCAR, it has to be Dale Earnhardt Jr. The former Cup Series driver’s love for the sport never seems to lose its intensity. While Junior displayed it by reviving the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, he has been at it once again. His investment has helped NASCAR attract a new audience.
While the sport enjoys a two-week break because of the Paris Olympics, a piece of exciting news comes to light. CARS Tour Late Model Stock driver Connor Hall will be making his debut at Richmond Raceway in the Truck Series. While it is massive, all credit goes to Dale Jr. and his colleagues to make it happen.

Hall enters the Truck Series with a lot of credibility given his success in the CARS Tour. Not only is he the defending Weekly Series national champion, but he also currently leads the zMAX CARS Tours Late Model Stock championship and the Virginia Triple Crown standings. Interestingly, Connor Hall has 17 wins out of 22 NASCAR Late Model Stock features.
Despite his Truck Series commitment, Hall will continue chasing the CARS Tour championship in the late model stock division on 9th August at Ace Speedway. The following day, the 27-year-old will compete in his first-ever Truck Series race. Naturally, it is going to be a big occasion for Connor Hall, as it is going to be for NASCAR.
With this move, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has ensured all of Hall’s loyal fanbase has built a keen interest in the Truck Series. It is certainly a marketing genius, but there’s still a long way to go before NASCAR can boast of Connor Hall’s continuous presence. Given how excited the Virginia native driver was ahead of his Truck Series debut, he’s expected to be seen on a frequent basis.

Of all the places on the Truck Series schedule, I think Richmond will fit my driving style the best and the kind of racing we have in late model stocks can translate well. I’m incredibly excited for it, and I have to thank Bill McAnally, TowneBank, A-All Mini Storage, and everyone at MHR for making this happen.”
