The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series is already in its second round. With the first race of the Round of 12 debuting in the Texas Speedway, the next race is scheduled at the Talladega Superspeedway on October,2,2022. However before the series officially reach the Round of 8, Dale Earnhardt Jr has his own predictions to share with fans.

In a post shared by NASCAR on NBC, veterans like Brad Daugherty, Kyle Petty, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Marty Snider share their first 4 out. Each one of them has picked four NASCAR Cup Series drivers who, according to them, will not make it to the next round.
And the names shared by Dale Earnhardt Jr seem interesting. According to Earnhardt Jr, Ross Chastain, Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, and Daniel Suarez will be the first four drivers to be out of the series.

Unsurprisingly, no Hendrick Motorsports driver made it to Earhardt’s list. Moreover, most of the veterans picked Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez as the drivers who would not make it to the next round.

Ross Chastain’s reputation of being the public enemy no1 might have something to do with it. Because Dale Earnhardt Jr has regularly expressed his opinions on Ross Chastain and his on-track conflicts.

Ross Chastain hit Denny Hamlin’s rear bumper during the Enjoy Illinois 300. And because of the hit, Denny Hamlin lost a lot of laps. Frustrated by the incident, Hamlin tried to interfere with Chastain’s car when he got back on track. In fact, after the race, Hamlin admitted that he will be trying to get a payback on a ‘meaningful day.’
And according to Dale Earnhardt Jr, Chastain received his payback at the Pocono Raceway. With Chastain picking the outside lane to race, Denny Hamlin was driving on the inside. However, nearing the end of turn 1, the two of them made contact.

As a result of the impact, Chastain slammed into the wall and was subsequently taken to the infield care center. Seeing this all as retaliation, Earnhardt Jr said on Dale Jr Download that he sees Hamlin’s actions as a form of revenge.

However, Earnhardt Jr’s co-host Mike Davis and Door Bumper Clear’s TJ Majors, Freddie Kraft, and Brett Griffin did not agree with him. Standing his ground, Earnhardt said; “Man, the man got out and admitted it. It was retaliation with a scalpel, not a hammer.”
