JR Motorsports is a formidable name in the arena of the NASCAR Xfinity Series with a whopping number of ninety-three wins and two Truck Series wins. And that became 94 with Justin Allgaier’s win at Daytona. Justin Allgaier bagged his first win in 26 starts at the Superspeedway in Florida. Indeed, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller were quite happy with Allgaier’s achievements.
Come Bristol Motor Speedway; Justin Allgaier grabbed his 3rd pole of the year and 10th of the as he drove his number 7 Reese’s Chevrolet Camaro to an impressive time of 29.188 seconds. Fast forward to Texas, he is the only Xfinity Series driver to have booked his spot in the round of 8s and will definitely capitalize on that premium starting position. However, that is not the greatest feather in his hat as far as his career in the top-tier series is concerned.

The Xfinity Series revealed something even more impressive that Allgaier had done while running the race at Texas Motor Speedway. And that placed him on an equal footing with Joe Gibbs Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. who has been the regular season points champion for 2023. Putting Allgaier at par with a seasoned driver like Truex; what could be the area of similarity between the two?
Justin Allgaier is the only one to have 50 stage wins in the history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. And that is the same with what Martin Truex Jr. has in the Cup Series. The office Twitter page of the Xfinity Series wrote, “Martin Truex Jr. in the Cup Series @J_Allgaier in the #XfinitySeries
The only drivers with 5️⃣0️⃣ career stage wins in a #NASCAR national series.” Indeed a big achievement for the 37-year-old Illinois resident. Interstingly, he one-upped another Joe Gibbs Racing driver while bagging his 50th stage win.

There are just two restricted tracks in NASCAR, Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona. Due to the dare-devilish speed that the cars throttle up to in these two tracks, NASCAR has decided to place restrictor plates in the intake of the engines in order to reduce the flow of fuel and hence reduce the horsepower.
They did it with the intention of bringing down the risks of crashes. Along Turn 3 of the race at Daytona earlier, Allgaier faced one such risk when he was running ahead of Sheldon Creed. The #7 JR Motorsports speedster knew exactly what he needed to do. He did not try to block the #2 Chevy Star.
In an episode of Dale JR Download, the two-time Xfinity Series champion said, “The one thing I told Justin when I went to victory lane, I said man, in Turn 3, the decision not to block the 2 was what won you the race.”
Mike Davis agreed. Junior continued, “This doesn’t work out every single time. I can tell you how to be good at restricted plate racing but that’s not gonna lessen the 80% chance that you’re gonna crash. I can tell you the best method to choose and how to run but yeah, the odds of breaking don’t change for you.”
