Sometimes, the similarities between 2 generations are so striking that you don’t need a DNA test. Dale Earnhardt Junior is the son of the legendary Dale Earnhardt and has racing in his blood, and his accolades and colorful resume attest to the fact. However, apart from the racing bit, there are also plenty of hobbies and habits that Earnhardt Jr seems to have adapted from his dad — like fishing!
Junior loves to fish and enjoys time with his family. But then there is another passed down habit an odd one, which until now was under the wraps or towel (quite literally) and his wife recently revealed it. Dale Junior invited his wife to his podcast and she spilled major beans!

Quirky habits—everyone has them whether it’s nail-biting, doing the laundry at odd hours, crazy superstitions, and more. And when one is married, as a couple, most get used to it, either change those habits or live with it. And seems like Amy Earnhardt is living with one such bad habit of Dale Earnhardt Jr and she recently brought out to light. The veteran Dale Junior blows his nose into a bath towel! Not only that, but he makes a loud and boisterous noise as he does so. She said on the podcast, “He dries himself off and then he honks his nose as loud as a goose into the towel. Into the towel, yeah.”
Not just that, after blowing his nose, he puts it back on the rack, where it is left sitting for the next person to use…eek. Amy seemed extremely displeased with this habit, but Junior had the perfect escape—according to him, he just inherited it! He said, “I do not know if Dad did it into a bath towel, but you could just hear him blow his nose. I could just hear Dad on the other side of the house blowing his nose, making noise, and it honked. So when I did that one day, I was like, “Yeah. never not doing this.”

But Junior seems to be wanting to make the change, and he said he is trying to use Kleenex more. And Amy might be more than happy with this effort because no one wants boogers down their leg after a fresh shower!

The power couple, Earnhardt Jr. and Amy Earnhardt, had dated for six years and they finally tied the knot and said yes to “happily ever after” on New Year’s Eve of 2017. Given that the two have spent such a long time together, getting to know each other inside out is normal. The quirks, the reason one person is as they are—everything! So when Junior invited his wife to his show, it was a risky move because all his secrets were spilling out, so nose boogers were not the only thing he better half talked about!
Amy also talked about her husband’s superstitions, and, apparently, he has superstitions of incomplete chores. As in, if Junior leaves a chore incomplete, it ends up haunting him for the entire day. Dale Eranhardt Jr explained what it meant, “Say you are doing something around the house and you’ll cut a corner or do something lazy in that process, and you’ll mind will say. You better go back and do that the right way, or you put that where it belongs.”
He further explained his logic. He said, for example, if he lets a towel lie on the table, he will constantly think of going and folding it and keeping it properly. And his wife had a savage comeback for this. She said, “That’s interesting to know considering you leave the pretzels out on the counter.” Not just that, the NASCAR champion and Hall of Famer likes munching on candies! Amy Earnhardt said, “He just recently bought a bunch of candy that I intercepted, and he’s constantly all those nerd gummy things. He bought a giant box full of them. I’m like what you gonna do with that. I’m gonna hide that in my computer room. He sits in there and eats his candy.”
