Back in June 2020, NASCAR motorsports analyst Rutledge Wood became the host of a new show called The Floor is Lava. Recently, Wood met Dale Earnhardt Jr, who confessed that he was a huge fan of the show, which has become pretty popular in the United States. Quite expectedly, the game show host asked him whether he was interested in making an appearance.

He also said that he was open to Dale Jr bringing a few NASCAR friends. Dale Jr said, “I’m going to be on the show. I’ve been telling Rut[Rutledge] that for a couple of years now. Maybe if we do this video, it can get me on the show. Maybe a couple of other race car drivers, other people in our industry.”
What else did Dale Earnhardt Jr say?

The former NASCAR driver also pitched a few names of drivers he would like to join him. He mentioned Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Bubba Wallace, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, and many more. He even gave a special shout-out to Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan.
The 2-time Xfinity Series champion admitted that it would be fun to watch. On the other hand, it would be even more fun to be a part of the show itself. Interestingly, the Xfinity Series Twitter handle jumped in the conversation with its own driver suggestions. They nominated Noah Gragson, Myatt Snider, and Ty Gibbs.
The other option was an all-Kaulig line-up of AJ Allmendinger, Landon Cassill, and defending champion, Daniel Hemric. Obviously, the Kaulig Racing team was fully on board with this idea. Admittedly, the drivers themselves have not responded, but the prospect of competing in this game show does sound fun.
