As the son of the late great Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr knew that he would have a hard time emulating his father’s seven NASCAR Cup Series titles. Admittedly, this has never bogged him down, and he has added to the family legacy in his own ways. He has been fairly successful in other NASCAR enterprises, like JR Motorsports.
Speaking to Associated Press, Dale Jr wondered whether his father would be proud of his efforts as a team owner. He confessed, “I would do anything to hear what he thinks about all the things we’ve done and everything we’ve been involved in. I would just do anything to really, really truly know what his words would be. I think about it all the time.”

The former Daytona 500 winner will soon be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. He is one of three names added to this exclusive list, along with Red Farmer and Mike Stefanik. The former Hendrick Motorsports driver recorded 26 Cup Series wins in his career. In addition to that, he also clinched the 1998 and 1999 Xfinity Series titles, with 24 wins in his Xfinity career. This means he has a total of 50 career wins in NASCAR.
Dale Jr may have retired from full-time racing, but he does enjoy the occasional Xfinity race for JR Motorsports. The rest of the time, he is content with taking a back seat. It is worth mentioning that he recently stepped into the Next Gen car for the first time as he earned an emergency call-up from Hendrick Motorsports. This was because Kyle Larson was preoccupied with the Chili Bowl Nationals.
So, since Hendrick Motorsports were a man down, they roped in Dale Jr. The driver evidently enjoyed himself out on the track and praised the car to the high heavens. He highlighted certain aspects of the new cars that make them difficult to tame, and he loves it.
