One of the biggest family names in the history of NASCAR is the Earnhardts. Needless to say, carrying the lineage of the great ‘intimidator‘, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has taken the sport to great heights. After all, there is a reason why fans voted for him as the most popular driver 15 times in a row. Owing to his numerous contributions in the arena of stock car racing, NASCAR inducted him into its Hall of Fame back in 2021.
Earnhardt Jr. is indeed a man of varied tastes. On one hand, he has been an ardent fan of iRacing since his teenage days, and on the other, he races with NFL legends like Elli Manning and Shaun O’Hara. But this race is not anything like what you would usually expect Junior to take part in.

The stalwarts from two different worlds of competitive sports came together to face off against each other in an obstacle race. Needless to say, the course of the race looked quite challenging. Each of the players received a car that apparently matched their characters. But how is that even possible?
Elli Manning got a white minivan, and O’Hara got a yellow dump truck making Dale Junior’s entry the only race car. However, to everyone’s surprise, these cars were not actual cars, but merely toys. You heard it right, what Manning referred to as the “Race of the Century” was a toy car race. Seriously?
Despite the unconventional race, Dale Earnhardt did not back down a bit. Passing through the Michael Strahan gap (if you know you know) and other hurdles, Dale proved to have the fastest car of the three.
Despite having the fastest ride, the race wasn’t easy at all for Junior. At one point, he crashed with Manning’s truck, but surprisingly avoided any damage. But moments later, Junior’s number 94 car got rammed under O’Hara’s truck. However, the day ended on a sweet note when he seized the win and exclaimed, “All right, race is over! Good job guys!”
After the race was done and dusted, Dale Earnhardt Jr. sat next to the NFL duo and indulged in a carefree chat about his first Daytona victory, the current playoff structure, and most importantly, his comeback to Xfinity racing back in Bristol Motor Speedway that resulted in a fiery mess.

Despite not being able to finish the race at Bristol Motor Speedway earlier this season, 48-year-old Dale Earnhardt Jr. posed a major threat to everyone on the grid, including race winner Justin Allgaier. Alas, Dale Junior’s firesuit caught fire with just 29 laps to go into the 1 hour 52 mins long race.

As the three chatted on, O’Hara laughed, saying, “I’m laughing because you’re okay. I’m sure it wasn’t funny”. Juniors replied, “It’s fine, I didn’t get hurt or anything.” O’Hara joked that Dale Earnhardt Jr. would probably carry a fire extinguisher in his car every time he ran a race from now on. Dale Earnhardt joined the laugh and nodded.

Despite getting a DNF, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Xfinity Series team went on to win the race with driver Justin Allgaier behind the wheel of the number 7 Chevrolet. However, Dale rightfully claimed that the way he led 47 laps of the race could have easily ended in a top-10 or even a top-5 finish. The day ended on a hilarious note as the two-time Xfinity Series champion rode Allgaier’s car to victory lane in a rather unique manner.
