Dale Earnhart Sr, a name synonymous with the legends of stock car racing, has, in many instances, proved himself to be a dominant force in the realm of NASCAR. Not only his opponents but also his son, Dale Jr, felt intimidated at some point or another, which Junior never fails to express. This time, however, amidst the 2023 NASCAR Awards ceremony, a renowned columnist put forth a question in front of Dale Jr about an instance when, around 32 years ago, his father, the NASCAR legend came home with a broken hand, that too on an Awards ceremony night.

Dale Jr and his wife Amy were present at the 2023 NASCAR Awards Banquet when NASCAR writer Steven Taranto asked the legendary racer a question. Asked @DaleJr about this and he shared the full story of his dad kicking someone’s ass for trying to hunt a deer on his property before the Winston Cup Banquet in 1990

Not only Dale Jr but Senior’s then-wife, Teresa Earnhardt was unable to register what had just happened as Junior expressed, “Teresa’s like what’s going on?” However, he mentioned that his father replied to Teresa like it’s just a small injury that can happen to anyone and said, “He’s like, hey I broke my hand.”
Despite the acceptance of the 1990 Winston Cup Championship by Dale Earnhardt Sr, his merry day was about to end as he witnessed something that led him to manhandle the person, resulting in a broken hand with the bone almost coming out of the skin.
