The dynamics between two long-time friends can sometimes be complex, especially when professional work intertwines with personal relationships. Dale Earnhardt Jr, a NASCAR racing legend turned podcast host, revealed an emotional struggle he faced after an intense disagreement with his childhood friend, Mike Davis, who also happens to be an executive producer at Dirty Mo Media.

Mike Davis, Director of Communications for JR Motorsports and an inseparable force on the Dale Jr Download, and Dale Earnhardt Jr have shown fans how a driver stays relevant years after leaving the racetrack. Junior, once the most popular driver on the field, has managed to stay relevant in the current day and age of the sport even after his retirement from the sport. The two friends have shared a bond since their early years, but sometimes even their friendship has some turbulence during heated arguments.

In a partnership that has lasted for over 9 years now, Mike Davis recalled how he came to work for Dale Earhardt Jr in the first place. “(Earnhardt Jr) had a PR guy by the name of Jade Gurss. We all hit this moment in our lives where travel starts to wear and tear on us. Every single week you’re living out of a suitcase. We all reach that point where maybe I can call on some help. Jade was looking to call on some help and that was me. I got that job. I had the chance of being in the third year in the sport to go and work for Dale Earnhardt Jr.

However, Davis has at times found himself on opposite sides with Earnhardt Jr during certain discussions, which has led to some tense moments in the studio that have left Junior feeling like “an a**ole“. In a recent interview with SiriusXM NASCAR, when asked, “Weirdest all-time moment at Dirty Mo Media?

Dale Junior replied,Oh man, me and Mike Davis, my old co-host, we’ve gotten some big arguments on the show. You ever do a show and you’re like, did I just become the a**hole in the room? and you’re like, I need to calm down.”

While conflicts among friends are inevitable, the key is to navigate through those who respect understand, and acknowledge the differences and work through them to maintain the bond.

Meanwhile, the podcast signs a new deal with SiriusXM
