With the recent changes in the title sponsor, the CARS Tour is expected to draw top-tier drivers from the best series. Young drivers hoping to make their name in the game are also expected to feature in the series, thus fueling the ambition set out by the new owners. Moreover, Dale Earnhardt Jr has laid out some key aspects that would make the series a promising enterprise in the coming five years.
Dale Jr said, “I think I would love to see the car count consistently around 38 to 42 number. We’re not far from that but commitment from some of the Truck Series teams and Xfinity Series teams in finding value in competing in the series and having a place for their young driver to cultivate their racecraft, I think there’s an opportunity for some of the teams and it’s additional exposure for some of their partners.
“Partners, that don’t have that kind of spend in the marketing department but they wanna be associate on a Truck or Xfinity car then this Late Model stock car could continue to give them more exposure in our series specifically”.

Be it racing himself or managing the entire CARS Tour series, Dale Earnhardt Jr does not like to be content with just good results. He always aspires to reach the top level. Similarly, despite the success of the 2023 season and the Kvapil brothers putting up a title show for the fans, Junior feels like there’s a pool of audience that hasn’t yet discovered the series or is unable to access the thrilling action.
The two-time Xfinity champion opined, “I mentioned the viewership, the numbers are great but I feel like there are a lot of people that would love to watch our races that either don’t understand how simple the access is and just haven’t been introduced to us yet. I think that there’s totally thousands and thousands of people out there that would become regular watchers of our races once they either discover us or find that access”.

With a renewed deal with FloRacing, the zMAX CARS Tour is all set to kick off on March 2, 2024, at the Southern National Motorsports Park in North Carolina. Having a total of 20 events in the year, the highlights of the series will be a return to Orange County Speedway and the NASCAR All-Star Race Week event in May. While a rise in the number of drivers to compete this year is predicted, hopefully, the reach and numbers will also tick the box as Dale Earnhardt Jr expects.
