It’s that time of the year. With Christmas on the horizon, the motorsports community is taking a well-earned break to enjoy the festivities before going into the new year. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is no exception as the veteran driver is using his time away from the racetrack to enjoy the season of joy, a rare luxury that only the off-season provides. With Santa busy making presents and delivering them to children all over the world, Junior has decided to pay it back by taking things up a notch with a special drink for ‘Father Christmas’.

The 50-year-old has revealed a special recipe for the occasion, one that can be enjoyed not just by Santa but by others as well. If the ingredients used in the recipe are anything to go by, it seems like Dale Jr. sure knows how to make his Christmas even more merry!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. enjoys the holiday season. In 2023, the racer spent Christmas with his family and extended kin and shared a snapshot of three generations of the family being captured in one frame. Junior wrote in the caption, “Celebrating Christmas Eve with my brother and sister is always a great time. And this Queen song kicks a-s. I have a radio in the garage that constantly plays a local station, Christmas music all this month.” Balancing broadcasting duties with his part-time racing career and managing JR Motorsports is no easy feat, but Dale Jr. takes it all in his stride while using the holiday season to relax along with his family.

While celebrations will be comparatively a quiet affair this time around, Amy and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have a special drink planned to get into Santa’s ‘nice list’ before the presents arrive. Sharing the recipe, Junior said, “Combine 1.5 ounce High Rock, 1.5 oz High Rock, 1-ounce Chocolate Coffee Sippin’ Cream, 1 ounce Mark and Digger’s Hazelnut Rum, 2 ounces of Cream, 1 tsp powdered sugar and a Splash of Sugarlands Birthday Cake sipping cream. Shake & strain into a glass. Garnish w/ gold sugar rim. Now that’s a pretty good treat for Santa. We appreciate each of you making 2024 a very special year.”

It seems like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his family are wholeheartedly embracing the Christmas spirit. In an Instagram story uploaded by Amy Earnhardt, their two daughters Isla Rose and Nicole Lorraine were recently photographed wearing matching clothes, and Santa hats. Both the girls were also seen at the back of a green pickup truck, with candy canes in their hands, and Dale Jr.’s wife wrote the caption, “Might be our Christmas card pic”.

It seems like Father Christmas’ drink isn’t the only recipe the couple is familiar with. High Rock Vidka used their social media account to share another cocktail drink and Amy Earnhardt said in the video, “Tis’ the Season for Sips! On this #WTDW @dalejr and @mrsamyearnhardt have a cocktail that perfectly captures the spirit of the season – The Ginger Pear Martin.” Both drinks are made with the help of High Rock Vodka, a company created by Amy and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2022. Created with the aim of “celebrating special moments in life with the people we love”, it’s no surprise that the couple is using Christmas and the holiday season to share recipes where their product can be used.

After being in the limelight for the majority of the year, Junior values his privacy during the holidays, where he can kick back, relax, and spend quality time with close friends and family.

Sharing his plans on the Dale Jr. Download podcast, the veteran racer said, “There’s like a vision of like I hope this there’s a couple things that I hope happen. We start to prep the living room for Christmas for when they come down. And I am hopeful that like when that’s done we have like me and Amy have like a 20 or 30-minute sit on the couch. We kind of just kind of sit there before we go to bed, and just have a moment to ourselves.”
